World Champion Luke Humphries is among the stars coming to Warrington’s A Night at the Darts this weekend.

Cool Hand Luke, along with the 2023 Matchplay winner Nathan Aspinall, World number six Jonny Clayton and the two-time Major Champion Daryl Gurney are the pros who will be stepping up the Oche at Parr Hall Arena on Sunday.

Darts veterans Silverback Tony O’Shea and The Dazzler Daryl Fitton will also be competing the event.

The event is hosted by MODUS. A spokesperson said: “The event aims to bring some of the best players around the world to go against each other, past greats and new superstars together for one night of action.”

All six players will also be taking on members of the audience and not just each other.

This gives fans of the sport the opportunity to face some sporting icons.

Last year’s event saw multiple Premier League winner Michael Van Gerwen, Fallon Sherrock, Dirk Van Duijvenbode, Mark Webster and Stephen Bunting. Van Gerwen was the winner of that night, defeating Bunting in the final.

Despite it being a less serious event, like the big prize money tournaments throughout the year, the event carries intrigue due to the line-up.

Aspinall, Humphries and Clayton are all in the top ten best-ranked players in the sport. So, this year’s event is set to be a very competitive night of darts.
