World number 4 Luke Humphries defeated four-time major winner Rob Cross 16-8 in the Grand Slam of Darts final. “CoolhandLuke”, who lives in Cheshire, put on an incredible performance having a match average of 104.69 and hitting eight 180s.

A stellar performance from Stephen Bunting saw him defeat American Grand Slam debutant Stowe Buntz 16-8 to reach the semi-finals. Liverpool's “The Bullet” was in superb form missing only one double in the first session and averaging a ton plus in the third as he led 9-6.

Former world number one Gerwyn Price was knocked out of the Grand Slam of Darts after a 10-6 loss to Gary Anderson. Anderson, a two-time World Championship winner, was in superb form averaging 104.96 hitting an 11-darter in the second last leg of the game.

Defending champion Michael Smith has been knocked out of the Grand Slam of Darts after a shock 5-1 loss to former two-time winner James Wade. Three missed darts at double 20 from St Helens star Smith in the crucial fifth leg of the match saw Wade capitalize and go 4-1 up.

Darts ace Michael Smith scrapes win after “rubbish” performance

St Helens darts ace Michael Smith scraped past Krzysztof Ratajski with a 5-4 win at The Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton but described his performance as “rubbish”. "Bully Boy" Smith scored a 106 finish in the final leg to secure the win and remain top of group A but is still not into the knockout stages.
