After winners in the last two days, including Sheldon’s NAP winning yesterday, That’s a Given, 15/8 – Hereford, the baton is passed on to me in the search for more winning tips.
Today’s card features a variety of action with five meetings in England, just the one jumps card from Wetherby, the rest of the English action coming on flat courses.
The evening action comes from Kempton on the polytrack, with the feature being the 32Red handicap class three with just under £10,000 going to the winner. Also action under the lights at Southwell on the fibre sand kicks off at 17:25.
Starting at 13:50, Wetherby has a seven-race card with the feature race being the Bobby Renton Handicap Chase (Class 3) over 2m3½f. The sole Irish meeting today comes from Punchestown with the bill starting at 14:05.
All the household names from British racing appear on the bolster eight race card at Wetherby including the Skeltons, David Pipe and Richard Johnson. Likewise, in Ireland, with trainers Gordon Elliott, Willie Mullins and Henry De Bromhead all having runners on the card.
Irish Daily Star Chase (Grade 3) is the feature in Ireland for over 20,000 euros and features four Gigginstown runners including Alpha Des Obeaux and Hot favourite Balko Des Flos for female ridder Rachael Blackmore.
My tips for the day are below.
NAP: Jatiluwih – 15:30 Wetherby. Impressive winner at Sedgefield two weeks ago but is punished with 12st 2lb, rider and owner David Maxwell’s 3lb claim aids the ex-French chaser as he looks to win 4 in its last 4 starts.
NB: Lucky Road – 15:10 Punchestown. Trainer Gavin Cromwell’s horses seem to be in fine tune this autumn so far with this particular horse looking to win for a three-consecutive time. After winning 3 handicaps previously Lucky Road appears to have 5lbs in hand on favourite Morosini for Jessica Harrington.
Each-Way: Lucky Lover Boy – 17:35 Wetherby. A dual-purpose horse that ran at Chester at the end of September has shown he can bolt up on Huntingdon in April on his handicap debut. Henry Brooke is a super star jockey in the making and will give the three-time winning horse a chance into the home straight.
