No winners yesterday from Tom so we need to get back to winning ways with today’s tips.
Another packed race card with a mixture of flat and jump meetings in the UK.
The day starts in Ireland with a flat meeting at Curragh getting underway at 13:00. This is closely followed by the 13:40 flat meeting at Yarmouth.
The Yarmouth meeting is then followed by the only Jump meeting of the day in Exeter with a first race time of 13:50.
Two all-weather flat meetings then round up the day’s action with a 14:00 start at Newcastle followed by the evening’s action at Kempton commencing at 16:55.
With all of this said here are my tips for today…
NAP: Pike Corner Cross- 18:00 Kempton. A game-winner in its last race at Wolverhampton this horse is feared tonight. The horse has six career wins under its belt all from the all-weather track so it is considered an all-weather specialist. Winning a similar race here at Kempton last year, it has all the credentials to go on to win today with Harry Bentley on board.
NB: The rebel outlaw- 17:10 Exeter. An unraced horse representing the in-form Jessie Harrington stables. Always a risk with an unraced horse but the pedigree and breeding indicate it is here to win. Half-sister to Italian, a grade two 1m3 winner and granddaughter of a USA 7f grade 2 winner it has a balance of pace and stamina. This National hunt flat race should be perfect for the horse to open his account. With Robbie Power riding it is bound to be a big player here.
Each Way: Axe Axelrod- 16:50 Newcastle. Patchy in form but both wins coming from all-weather including one 11 days ago here at Newcastle. A solid USA pedigree indicates pure pace so it is sure to challenge the big boys in this 6f race today.
