No winners for Owen yesterday, which means the baton is passed to me in search of some winning horses today. Despite only a few wins recently, we are still £18.04 up, if you’d have staked £1 on each of our tips. A strike rate of 25.61%.
Four meetings across the country today, with one also in Ireland. Jumps meetings at Warwick, Hexham and Chepstow with a flat race at Kempton. Across the water in Ireland there is just the one meeting at Dundalk, with all races being on the flat.
I will be focusing on the jumps races for my tips today, looking to get MerseySportLive back to winning ways. So without further ado, here are my selections:
NAP – Winter Getaway – 13.35 Warwick
Won on her last outing in a maiden hurdle race at Stratford over 2m 6f on soft ground. The soft ground today will pose no issues for this horse, who tends to run well on soft and good ground. Richard Johnson is on board this Philip Hobbs horse today, and should be in with every chance of winning this race in what might be quite competitive.
NB – Not That Fuisse – 14.10 Warwick
Harry Skelton on board this Dan Skelton horse today. Only horse in the field who has jumped over fences, coming second in both runs at Chelmsford and Uttoxeter respectively. Today’s race is over two miles, which should suit the horse, who seems to run well from 1m 7f to 2m 4f. The soft ground should also be no issue here. Should be in with every chance today.
Each-way – Getawaytonewbay – 3.20 Chepstow
An absolutely massive price at 80/1 (correct as of 10am). Won on her last outing a month ago, in a point-to-point race at Tinahely as 5/1 favourite. This is her first run for a new stable today. Tends to run well on soft ground, so she will hopefully take to the ground well today. Last time out ran over 3m, today’s race is 2m 5f so this horse could have every chance of placing.
