Sporting events across the globe remain in jeopardy due to the COVID-19 pandemic – and one of the biggest of them all on Merseyside is the Premier League.
For much of the season it’s been obvious that Liverpool were going to win their first Premier League title.
But with the global pandemic shutting down all major sporting events, that now looks in doubt.
Wimbledon looks set to be the next major sporting event to be postponed or cancelled this year.
And it looks likely the Champions League could follow suit in the not too distant future.
Many options are being considered as to what is going to happen for the rest of this Premier League season.
But there is a real chance that the season could be abandoned – being left null and void – if it does not resume after April 30.
It’s a complex issue, with hundreds of millions of pounds at stake.
The Premier League will not take the decision lightly.
So what is the right solution?
