In episode 2 of the Mersey Sport Live Red and Blue Round Up, Alex, Tom, Dan and Jack discuss Liverpool and Everton’s fixtures at the weekend, as well as the U21’s Merseyside derby.
Liverpool face Nottingham Forest in the early kick-off on Saturday, looking to claim their third consecutive league win after beating West Ham 1-0 on Wednesday night.
Forest sit bottom of the Premier League and are hoping to pick up vital three points in search of climbing out of the relegation zone. Everton host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park at 3pm on Saturday and Frank Lampard’s men will be determined to get a run of form together to push into the top half of the table.
Meanwhile, the U21 Merseyside Derby is taking place this weekend too. Hosts Liverpool come into it having lost their midweek EFL Trophy game 3-2 against Accrington Stanley. But there were important minutes and a goal for the returning Calvin Ramsay. On the other hand, Everton will be buzzing with confidence after a 6-0 win away at Hartlepool in the same competition, whilst local bragging rights are up for grabs.
