Southport’s Tommy Fleetwood is tied 14th on three under after the first round of the Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club.
Fleetwood is looking to improve from last time out as he failed to make the cut at WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.
Despite coming close to a hole-in-one at par three 16th, Fleetwood finished 20 shots behind eventual winner Scottie Scheffler.
And he has started well in this tournament which has also seen a returning Tiger Woods who is competing for the first time since The Open back in July last year.
The event is Woods’ first non-major start on the PGA Tour since the Zozo Championship back in October 2020.
I'm ready to play an ACTUAL PGA Tour event next week @thegenesisinv
