A University of Liverpool rugby league player is staying positive, despite her stage four terminal bone cancer diagnosis. Eleni Dodds was diagnosed six months after seeking treatment for what they thought was a sporting injury.
Since the diagnosis, the team has rallied round to support Eleni and each other. They have raised nearly £2500 for Teenage Cancer Trust. The charity provided Eleni and thousands of other young adults living with cancer, specialised units and help throughout their treatment. The team aren’t just raising money but also awareness to encourage other young sports people to get injuries checked out.
