St Helens star Michael Smith faces Gerwyn Price in Night 11 of the PDC Premier League at Birmingham tomorrow (April 11)
Smith beat Welshman Price in the opening night final 6-5 in Cardiff.
Price, who is in seventh in the league, hit a superb nine-darter in his 6-3 semi-final victory over Smith last week.
Two-time PDC major winner Smith had beaten Price twice in the Premier League prior to last week’s semi-final defeat.
“Bully Boy” is currently fifth in the league and is only two points off a final play-off spot.
Smith has reached three nightly finals and has hit the third most 180s in the tournament.
Teenage sensation Luke Littler is first after winning consecutive nights in the Premier League of Darts at Belfast and Manchester.
Warrington-based Littler also has five semi-final appearances in the tournament which is the most of any player.
Belgian Darts Open Champion Littler faces sixth-placed Rob Cross who has lost four consecutive games in the Premier League.
World Number One Luke Humphries is in second after winning a trio of nights in the Competition.
“Cool Hand” is the only player to average over 100.00 across the tournament and faces bottom of the table Peter Wright.
Humphries also won his sixth euro tour title last week at the German Darts Grand Prix thumping Michael Van Gerwen 8-1 in the final and averaging a remarkable 112.66.
Although, Current World Champion Humphries did suffer consecutive quarter final defeats for the first time in the Premier League this year after he lost to Michael Smith 6-3 last week in Manchester.
Two-time World Champion Peter Wright has only two wins in this year’s Premier League however “Snakebite” did average 110.00 and checked out all his doubles in last week’s quarter final defeat to Price.
Despite having a hat-trick of Premier League nightly wins Michael Van Gerwen sits in fourth heading into night eleven.
Seven-time Premier League Champion MVG has lost six out of his last seven Premier League games.
Three-time world champion MVG was also recently knocked out of the Players’ Championship 7 round of 32 by Ian White after he lost 6-5 despite leading 4-2 at one point.
His opponent is third placed Nathan Aspinall who won Night Five of the Premier League.
Since week four Aspinall has been in amazing form and has made four nightly finals.
“The Asp” averaged over 100.00 in last week’s quarter final victory over Cross and produced a stellar 108 checkout before losing to Luke Littler in the semi-final.
