Everton host city rivals Liverpool on Wednesday at Goodison Park and EFC boss Sean Dyche delivered updates on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto.
The Merseyside derby could have major ramifications at both the ends of the table. Going into the derby, Everton stay five points adrift of the drop zone.
Liverpool have a chance to extend their lead over champions Manchester City at the top to four points before City’s game against Brighton on Thursday.
Everton maximised their result against Nottingham Forest in a relegation six-pointer, as the Toffees battled out a 2-0 win, courtesy of goals from Idrissa Gueye and Dwight McNeil.
Calvert-Lewin, who has five goals in 28 Premier League games this term, was forced off in the second-half against Forest due to a knee problem.
Beto, who came in for the Calvert-Lewin, was knocked unconscious after a collision with Morgan Gibbs-White in the dying stages of the game.
After medics’ quick response and treatment, the Portuguese was stretchered off and taken to the hospital. The Toffees later updated that Beto has left the hospital following medical investigations.
We can confirm that Beto was knocked unconscious and has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Everton Injury News vs Liverpool
Ahead of the Merseyside derby, Everton boss Dyche spoke to the media and delivered the team news, featuring Calvert-Lewin, Beto and Seamus Coleman.
“Beto definitely won’t feature for next couple of games. He’ll be back after that as per the protocol. Good news so far, he’s had all the checks needed and he’s fine.
“DCL is hopeful that he’ll be back, we’ll wait and see but he is hopeful.
“Seamus is recovering, he’s back on the grass but he won’t be available for tomorrow.”
Dyche’s men now have two wins in the last three games and will look to neutralise rivals Liverpool in Jurgen Klopp’s last Merseyside derby.
