A local Taekwondo club has echoed calls from Paralympic silver medallist Beth Munro for more to be done to support access to disability sport in Liverpool.
Whiston Taekwondo, a family martial art club who operate in Huyton, offer training to all ages and abilities, with sessions taking place six days a week.
They recently trained Keira Forsythe for Team GB’s para-Taekwondo squad. They advertisements on social media encourage who would like to give the sport a go to come down, but have limited response from disabled people.
Our reporter headed down to the club to see what goes on during a typical Saturday training session, and what coaches consider important to improving opportunities in disability sport.
