Liverpool’s Lee Browne suffered his fourth loss in the Bare-Knuckle fighting championship (BKFC) series as Connor Tierney won the main event.

Browne lost by way of TKO to Rob Boardman in the fourth round and Tierney won by unanimous decision.

Two judges scored the fight 48-45 for Tierney whilst the third judge scored it 48-46 for “The Brumtown Bomber” who defeated Johnny Graham.

The new BKFC UK Welterweight champion Tierney now aims to join former UFC Welterweight champion Leon Edwards and former WBA flyweight champion Kal Yafai in becoming another combat sports world champion from Birmingham.

Tierney, 8-2, (3KOs), told Merseysportlive, “A world title will come in due course you know. It’s Phenomenal Leon Edwards and Kal Yafai, they are some top-class operators.

“Kal I boxed at same amateur club as well. So yeah man it’s good to be etching my name in history in Birmingham alongside them.”

On his BKFC debut Tierney produced a stunning knockout in the fifth round against Jeremiah Riggs.

The “Brumtown Bomber said, “Obviously Jeremiah is always going to be a standout in the books but as far as digging deep and into the trenches that was up there with one of the hardest fights I have had”.

Lee Browne took his fight with Rob Boardman on just two days notice.

Although, Browne, 2-4, (2KOs), headed into the bout fresh of a thrilling TKO victory two weeks prior against Tom Pratt.

The experienced Rob Boardman proved too much for Browne as he extended his undefeated bare knuckle record to 6-0 having knocked out five of those opponents.

Browne told Merseysportlive a fight with BKFCs Mason Shaw is what he wants next in his career.

“I want Mason Shaw next in a rematch. I spoke to him I said if i win or lose. If we both win i will call you out. If we both lose i will call you out. Here I am I call you out for my next fight. Rematch. I want you next!”

The Merseyside fighter fought Mason Shaw at BKFC 37 with Shaw picking up the victory via unanimous decision.
