Tommy Fury has pulled out of his fight against Darren Till over safety concerns.
Fury has put out a statement on Instagram accusing Till of “not wanting to abide by professional boxing rules.”
The fight between the two boxers has now been cancelled.
This is after Till threatened to “kick” Fury in the head during the match in their press conference.
The fight was supposed to happen on January 18 in Manchester.
Fury said: “I am a professional boxer, I have been out the ring for over year, and I wanted this to be a great boxing fight for the fans. I have wasted weeks in a training camp.”
Till has responded on social media, saying: “I said I would kick him in the head in the press conference as a mental war tactic, since then I have not said anything.
“I’ve been hard working in the gym preparing for this fight with him.”
Till, who has been training in MMA all his life, has now been training in the boxing ring for over two years.
He continued: “Never in a million years would I throw a head kick in a fight that is only boxing rules. I’ve sticked with the rules and always abided by them throughout my whole career.”
Now Fury’s team is looking for a new opponent for the Misfits boxing card.
Fury said: “We are working hard to get a new opponent and better fight for you guys. Good news is around the corner.”
