The IBF recently announced that Jazza Dickens will face off against his domestic rival Kid Galahad for the vacant IBF world title.

The vacant title became available last month after the IBF refused to sanction a unification clash between IBF champion Josh Warrington and WBA champion Xu Can.

This has set up an all-British clash for the world title as Galahad and Dickens are the highest rated fighters in the rankings.

The pair fought each other back in 2013 for the vacant BBBofC British Super Bantam title.

It was Galahad who came out on top that night as he stopped Dickens via TKO in the tenth round. At the time both men were young British level prospects.

Since that fight both men have established themselves as top contenders in the featherweight division.

Jazza Dickens (30-3) is fresh off the back of winning the MTK Golden Contract. He is also undefeated since moving up to featherweight and is currently on an eight-fight win streak at 126 pounds.

Kid Galahad (27-1) was undefeated until he fell short against Josh Warrington for the IBF world title in 2019. He has fought once since when he beat Claudio Marrero at his local Sheffield arena.

Dickens could also achieve a world title fight in the WBO rankings. The southpaw is currently the number-one contender for the WBO title which is held by unbeaten two-division champion Emanuel Navarrete.

The Liverpudlian will more likely face old foe Galahad for the IBF title after the recent announcement.

The purse bid for Jazza Dickens versus Kid Galahad will take place this Thursday.
