St Helens have completed an historic third Super League title in a row after a thrilling 12-10 victory over Catalan Dragons at Old Trafford.
It was a very physical affair with both teams making their presence known to each other.
The Dragons took the lead early on courtesy of a James Maloney penalty.
Saints then went ahead in the 13th minute when player of the match Kevin Naiqama went over after great work by the Saints.
They went into the half-tiime break 6-4 ahead.
Catalans then took the lead when Mike McMeekan went over and following a video review, the dragons went 10-6 ahead.
It looked like they were going to hold on especially when Saints went down to 12 after Tommy Makinson was sin binned after a high try-saving tackle.
But the winning moment came 15 minutes from time when Naiqama scored his second try of the game after a kick through on the last tackle.
Again it went upstairs to video referee James Child who confirmed the try.
Catalans threw everything to try and win the match but it was all in vain as the Saints held on to complete a hat-trick of Super League titles in a row.
