St Helens have announced that French scrum-half, Theo Fages, will join Huddersfield Giants in 2022.
It was revealed at the start of this month that the 27-year-old would be leaving Saints, prompting speculation as to where he would go.
Fages has signed a three-year deal and will move to the Giants when his contract expires at Saints.
Since arriving from Salford in 2016, The Frenchman has scored 39 tries in 140 appearances and helped the Saints win three Super League Grand Finals.
He has also become one of the game’s top halfbacks in the time since.
Unfortunately, though, Fages suffered a broken shoulder injury in Saints win over Castleford Tigers back in July, resulting in him missing the recent Super League final win over Catalans Dragons.
It is without a doubt though that the Frenchman has been a vital part of Saints’ success in recent years.
His class performances have earned him the captain’s armband for France on a number of occasions.
Fages will be replacing outgoing Aiden Sezer at the Huddersfield Giants, who will also be on the move next year to Leeds Rhinos.
Speaking on the move, Fages said: “I just want to bring this team back to where it was, fighting for trophies, and the challenge is really exciting for me.
“It’s a new life for me. We will be moving here and I’m really looking forward to it.
“Ian Watson and everybody else wants to do really well for this team.
“We want to win trophies and I’ll just be giving 100 percent for this team.”
