Tranmere Rovers face Colchester at the JobServe Community Stadium this weekend, looking to push for automatic promotion to League One.
The Rovers are currently level on points with Northampton Town in third, with only one less goal difference.
After a tough start to 2022, Tranmere have managed to turn their form around at a crucial time of the season.
A 96th minute winner against Mansfield Town two weeks ago made the Super White Army begin to dream again.
Their opponents on Saturday sit 20th in League Two, and could dip into the relegation zone if Barrow win their game in hand.
Colchester showed signs of hope after wins against Port Vale and Scunthorpe in early March, but back-to-back defeats have dented hopes of survival.
In the reverse fixture, Tranmere comfortably dispatched Colchester 2-0 at Prenton Park.
Joshua Stuart Hawkes and Peter Clarke grabbed the goals in the reverse game.
They will be hoping for a similar result, which would leave them on 66 points with nine games to go.
The promotion fight promises to be very tight, and may go down to the last game of the season.
However, defender Calum MacDonald reassures fans that Rovers are ready for the fight.
“Tranmere are historically well-known for being a good battling team as well, so we can stand up to challenges”, said MacDonald.
