Everton and Liverpool are amongst a numerous amount of Premier League clubs interested in Wigan starlet Joe Gelhardt, according to Goal.com

Gelhardt was born in Netherton and is a boyhood Liverpool fan.

The 17-year-old joined the Latics at the age of ten and got a scholarship deal in 2017.

The young striker made in professional debut coming on as a substitute against Rotherham United in the EFL Cup.

Gelhardt has been banging in goals in multiple international youth levels. Scoring 12 in 15 matches for England Under 17’s.

He scored his first senior goal in a 2-2 draw against Hull.

The young forward has began to break into the first team this season alongside son of Everton favourite David Weir, Jensen.

Gelhardt has been attracting attention from teams like Chelsea, Man United, Liverpool and Everton.
