Warrington Rylands advanced to the second round of the Isuzu FA Trophy with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over lower-league Ossett United who were taking part in their first ever FA trophy round 1 game.
Rylands had the ball in the net on 20 minutes, but centre-back George Waring was adjudged off side. The home side continued to dominate, and were rewarded with 2 late first half goals.
Ben Hardcastle broke the deadlock in the 38th minute with a wonder strike from 25 yards. Just before halftime, Rylands extended their lead, Waring headed home a Hardcastle corner for his first-ever goal for the club.
Ryan Qualter’s half time team talk must have done the players a power of good because it was Ossett came out firing on all cylinders but Rylands soon regained control.
In the 88th minute, Jake Burton was denied a dream return after injury when his curled effort struck the far post, but Jake Daniels was on hand to slot home, capping off his man-of-the-match performance.
Warrington Rylands wrapped it up in the 94th minute, through Leslie Adekoya.

Boss Neil Reynolds was in fine spirits after his first home win: “There’s a buzz in the dressing room There have been some really positive performances, and the squad is getting stronger.”
