With Toby really representing MerseySportLive with his success on the tips, it is time we step up to the plate and start finding some winners.
The racing has already started in most places across the UK today but there is still some top-quality racing to come. Chelmsford is host to an all-weather meeting commencing at 16:25. We will have two tips from there.
We have a meeting currently underway in the United Arab Emirates in Meydan. With a few of the British contingent over there for this glorious festival of racing, I will try and grab a winner cross-continent.
Here are my tips for the day…
NAP: Canvassed- 16:50 Meydan. A hot favourite in a wide field this British horse has made the trip to the UAE for a reason. With 2 wins in 3 starts over this trip for Roger Varian it comes here a real player. Doug Watson now trains the horse with Pat Dobbs riding today. The question would be whether it can take to the dirt track, but with a win on all-weather, it is sure to take a liking to the ground. At 6/4 there’s good value for money.
NB: Noble Behest- 17:30 Chelmsford. An Experienced horse with very patchy form. But with an impressive 2nd place run last time out on the all-weather course, it comes to the race a key contender. An impressive 3 wins in 8 on the all-weather and conditions to suite here to Chelmsford, it is likely to be in the mix. Like I said patchy form makes it questionable.
Each way: Caledonia Laird- 19:00 Chelmsford. Dug deep and took a late win here last time out and a veteran 8-year-old with previous success. A form Jockey in Hollie Doyle takes the ride tonight. A proven winner here makes it a contender. A combination of age and up in trip, however, is a tough ask. At 12/1, an each-way punt is highly recommended.
