Everton manager David Moyes believes Toffees’ supporters can be the difference ahead of the last ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.

Moyes, who has guided Everton to three Premier League wins in a row following his return to the club in mid-January, hopes the grand old stadium has one last derby-day atmosphere to help drive his side to victory.

The Blues’ manager said: “All we need is the support behind us, which they have been since I came back in.

“It’s a while back since my last derby. They’ve always been difficult games.

“Liverpool are always a tough opponent but we’ve got a fantastic crowd behind us at Goodison.”

Speaking about the final clash between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park, Moyes said he hopes to put on a great spectacle for the ground’s final derby.

“Goodison is always a really difficult atmosphere, a difficult place for visitors to come and play.”

Moyes also praised his counterpart, Liverpool boss Arne Slot, for the job he has done since replacing Jurgen Klopp.

Moyes said: “Most people would be amazed at how well Arne Slot has done, replacing Jurgen. He’s done amazingly well.”

The Scot will be looking to give the ground a fitting send off this evening, while also knowing that three points will push his side even further away from danger.

Everton vs Liverpool kicks off at 7:30pm (February 12th).
