We have finally reached a day without a cancellation! Lingfield and Kempton go ahead on the all-weather surfaces. There are minor difficulties on the chase track at Carlisle meaning that the six-race card consists of all hurdle races.

An unfortunate Friday for Sheldon, gave him no winners, but hopefully we will be back to form starting today. We still have a strike rate of 24.11%, meaning that we are due a winner.

We are currently sitting on £21.89 in-profit with £1 stakes(50p each-way) and we are hoping to recover from a poor run last week.

Here are my selections for the day:

Teescomponents Lad – 15:55 Carlisle

The feature up at the Cumbria track today, and who better to have riding. Brian Hughes is bang in form and will be looking to extend his lead in the jockeys championship whilst Richard Johnson recovers from injury. Almost 27 lengths separated him and third place last time out, and a nice horse finished in second too.

Princess Mononoke – 16:30 Carlisle

Ran an excellent race here last December behind a nice Stuart Crawford runner, who was also behind Windsor Avenue and Ballymoy.

Consistent form figures of 4223 this season, and hoping for one better, Donald McCain’s daughter Abbie, takes the ride.

Notwhatiam – 17:00 Carlisle

One-time stalwart at the Dan Skelton yard, and was behind two Graded winners in third, two years ago at Aintree. Thinking it should run well at a big price.
