Southport host Hereford tomorrow night as they look to leapfrog their opponents into a play-off spot.
The Sandgrounders are looking to bounce back following their 3-1 FA Cup fourth round qualifying defeat to Altrincham on Saturday.
However, before the weekend, Liam Watson’s men had not lost a home game since their 3-0 defeat to Farsley Celtic in August.
Hereford, meanwhile, are without a win in their last three games, including a 3-2 away defeat to Bradford PA on Saturday.
12th placed Southport are just two points behind the Bulls in the National League North, who are only outside the play-off places on goal difference.
Both teams have a game in hand on Guiseley in seventh.
The Yellows have only faced phoenix club Hereford FC twice before, as the former Hereford United was wound up in 2014.
Both of these fixtures occurred last season as Southport claimed the double, winning 0-3 and 1-0, respectively.
The game kicks off at 7:45pm tomorrow at Southport’s Haig Avenue.
Tickets are available via the club’s official website.
