Toby took the reigns yesterday and never disappointed. With his Nap easing to victory, it is now my turn to produce the goods. With it being Friday the 13th, we hope we aren’t struck with a curse on todays tips.
There is no excuses today with a packed race card mainly consisting of jumps with a few flat meetings. We have an early start today of 11:50 where the meeting at Bangor-on-dee gets underway.
This is shortly followed by the 12:00 start of the jump meeting at Doncaster. 10 minutes later is the start of arguably the meeting of the day coming from Cheltenham with some big races in line.
Then it’s the two all-weather flat meetings to finish the days racing. Chelmsford starts with an 8-race card starting at 4:00. This is followed by the Irish meeting up in Dundalk starting at 5:15.
With all this being said, here are the three tips for the day…
NAP: Pym- 12:45 Cheltenham. With a solid second place at Huntingdon at the start of the season the horse really kicked on in its next race. It came out superior at ascot over 3m and has claimed its stake as the one to beat today. With the ground ready to suite at 6/4 this horse has a real chance.
NB: Methag- 2:55 Doncaster. With an impressive 1,2 start to the season, this horse comes into the race with good form. She was narrowly beaten in her attempt to make it to straight wins at Huntingdon so she will look to go one better today. At 4/1 I think there’s real good value in this horse which has more to give.
EW: Harbour vision- 5:00 Chelmsford. Despite having no real form coming into this race I think it has a real chance here today. An experienced horse with great all-weather wins with great success here at Chelmsford in the past. It’s the only course the horse has ever won at so at 10/1 it can’t be counted out here.
