Everton will look to continue their unbeaten start to the season as they take on Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium this coming Sunday.
The Toffees will look to kick on from their well-earned point after last Saturday’s derby exploits.
Despite coming in for criticism due to a number of incidents in the game, manager Carlo Ancelotti has called on his side to show the same level of fight and resilience in order to become a top side.
The Saints are likely to pose a tough test for Ancelotti’s side, with their energetic side causing problems in recent games between the two sides.
Particular attention will be paid to striker Danny Ings, who has been something of a thorn in the side for the visitors, scoring in three of his last four appearances against the club.
Victory would see the Blues stay top of the table for a third consecutive week should they prevail.
Everton will however, go into the contest without first team starters Richarlison and Seamus Coleman, both of whom miss out through injury. Right back Jonjoe Kenny is also unavailable for selection as he continues to recover from his ankle injury.
New signing Ben Godfrey is expected to deputise for skipper Coleman, following on from his impressive debut against Liverpool.
A late fitness test will also be made on James Rodriguez, who picked up a knock in last weekend’s Merseyside derby.
Southampton meanwhile have injury concerns themselves with trio, Djenepo, Smallbone and new signing Salisu all expected to miss out on the contest.
Where can I watch it?
The game kicks off on Sunday at two o’clock, live on Sky Sports
