Lancashire and England batsman Liam Livingstone has pulled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League tournament.
‘Bubble fatigue’ has been cited as the reason for Livingstone’s departure.
The Barrow-in-Furness born batsmen had toured South Africa and India with England this winter. He also played for the Perth Scorchers in Australia’s Big Bash League.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, tours and leagues are taking place in ‘bio-secure’ bubbles, with players only allowed to leave team hotels for training and matches.
Rajasthan Royals confirmed that Livingstone flew home on Monday.
“We understand and respect his decision, and will continue supporting him in any way we can,” said the Royals.
