As Everton look ahead to this weekend’s game against West Ham, how have Pickford, Mina and Digne performed?
The international break for Everton began with bad news due to Lucas Digne having to withdraw from France’s squad because of a hamstring injury.
The Frenchman will now be a doubt for Everton’s upcoming fixture this weekend against David Moyes’ West Ham.
Everton’s defender joins Dominic Calvert-Lewin, team Captain Seamus Coleman and Brazilian Richarlison as injury concerns for the Toffees.
Everton and England number one, Jordan Pickford on international duty
Jordan Pickford is yet to play for England during the break but will be hoping to replace Sam Johnstone ahead of the Three Lions’ upcoming match against Hungary.
Pickford has been in fine form for Everton this season.
Should he start, he will be hoping to match Johnstone’s clean sheet with another tomorrow night (October 12).
Elsewhere, Yerry Mina has played both games so far for Colombia.
The former Barcelona defender has helped Colombia keep two clean sheets in 0-0 draws against Uruguay and Brazil.
Mina has been at the centre of the action so far for the South Americans, missing a chance to win the game against Brazil.
However, Mina also helped keep Brazil and Uruguay star players quiet, including Neymar and Luis Suarez.
Mina will hope his good form will help convince Brands and Benitez he deserves a new contract at Everton.
Mina’s deal is due to expire this summer and Everton fans will be hoping his situation will be solved quickly.
Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin and Coleman were unavailable for selection, meaning there were no more Everton first team members on international duty.
All three will be hoping to return to action with Everton this coming weekend.
