Everton Ladies face a tough challenge when they come up against Reading in the FA Women’s Super League at Walton Hall Park, the home of Everton Women.
Chris Roberts and Claire Ditchburn will be looking for all three points on Sunday (February 6) in their first game in charge as interim managers.
It comes after the club sacked Jean Luc-Vasseur who was only able to get three wins in 10 games since he took over.
Vasseur left on a good note though, with Everton fans hoping their side can replicate their impressive previous performance in the FA Women’s Cup where they thumped Huddersfield Town 4-0.
Without a win in the league since November 21, the Blues find themselves 10th in WSL table, just two places above Birmingham City Ladies who sit bottom of the league.
Everton will have to play well to beat Reading Women who are in fine form, unbeaten in their last three.
They currently sit sixth in the WSL, with their most notable performance of the season a 1-0 victory over high-flying Chelsea.
Despite this, the home side can come into the game with confidence knowing they were victorious in the reverse fixture back in October 2021 where they won 3-0.
