Lancashire County Cricket Club are celebrating the Islamic month of Ramadan by hosting a cricket tournament for local teams in the Muslim community.
The Core Cities Ramadan Cup sees eight Lancashire-based teams compete across 39 matches of five over cricket.
Players break fast before joining together in the Isha prayer, the last of the five mandatory daily prayers in Islam.
Matches then start at 10:30pm, lasting until 12:30am.
Ammar Ashraf, tournament organiser, highlighted community cohesion and opportunities for diverse groups as reasons for hosting the event.
The tournament began on Monday and lasts until April 5, where a winner will be crowned.
