Chinese New Year brings something a little different to a Kung Fu Club hidden in Liverpool’s city centre.
At Hung Gar Kung Fu Club, as well as martial arts you are just as likely to see elaborate costumes and a carefully-choreographed, centuries-old Lion dance.
Kung Fu specialist James Lau said: “It’s basically an old-school Kung-Fu club but in addition to that there’s the showmanship side of it.”
The Chinese Lion Dance was performed by the Kung Fu Club at Liverpool’s Ying Wah Bar and Restaurant to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The club is located at 1-27 Bridport Street, Liverpool L3 5QF.
