Merseyside giants Widnes Wild are looking to bounce back from their tough home defeat to Nottingham Lions last weekend, whilst Sheffield Scimitars are also hoping to come back from their disappointing home result against Deeside Dragons.

The last time these two teams faced each other was only a few weeks ago on February 11, as Widnes took the two points after a thrilling 7-6 win. Other recent results between the two teams have ended in a 0-0 draw back in November and a 3-1 win for the Merseyside club.
The game was originally planned for November 19, but was rearranged due to concerns over carbon monoxide levels at Planet Ice.
Widnes will be looking to seal another victory over the visitors and make it 18 wins in total this season.
Who's excited to be back on home ice this Sunday? 🙌

Despite just two wins in the last six games, the Wild will be confident going into Sunday’s game as they have won two out of three of their last games against the Scimitars.
However, a win for the South Yorkshire team would prove to be important points added to their tally as they aim to go even further up the North Division 2 table.
A new upcoming talent, Flynn Masie scored his first goal in Wild colours against Nottingham Lions last weekend as he added a last-minute consolation goal for his side. The Merseyside club are hoping to get him amongst the scoring again on Sunday.
The Scimitars will be aware of the power Widnes hold on their home ice and will hopefully bring their unpredictable form to an end with what would be an impressive victory over the Wild.
