The internet sensation of slap fighting is coming to Liverpool this weekend.

SlapFIGHT Championship UK 4 will take place on Saturday, 19th October at BOXPARK.

Louis ‘The Razor’ Robinson faces off against Dom ‘the Juggernaut’ Sorby in the centre of Liverpool for the inaugural SlapFIGHT Championship UK world heavyweight championship in the main event.

Leading up to that, a host of electrifying characters compete in a four-match undercard to fill what is the biggest event yet for the UK-based company.

The undercard includes names such as George ‘The Wobbler’ Wilson and Dan ‘One Shot’ Mitchell in the co main event as well as Jamie ‘The Problem Child’ Christopher and Badger further down the card.

SlapFIGHT Championship UK 4 claims to be the biggest event of its kind in UK history after three previous events under a different name boasted significant success for the company. However, the 1500 capacity of Liverpool’s BOXPARK is a huge step up for the infantile sport of British slap fighting.

Organisers promise an occasion like never before for the city of Liverpool.

A spokesperson said: “Hosted in the heart of Liverpool city centre, SlapFIGHT UK 4 offers fans an up-close and personal experience of this electrifying new sport. Feel the intensity, hear the slaps, and be part of the energy that only live slap-fighting can deliver.

“Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the sport, SlapFIGHT UK 4 promises an unforgettable night of high-stakes action and pure entertainment. This isn’t just a fight, it’s a battle for the ages.”

Slap fighting is a quickly developing combat sport that has been gaining traction in the sporting world through its viral social media clips and controversial rules for the last two years after the debut of the UFC owner, Dana White’s Power Slap show in 2023.

But the sport of slap fighting can be traced back to 2017 where viral videos of Russian body builders and strongmen can be seen competing in a slap fight that resembles the growing sport today.

The sport is gaining traction with more force in the United States than in the UK because of the backing of celebrity businessmen such as Dana White. However, with Power Slap holding six of YouTube’s top ten YouTube shorts and already passing 13 million followers on social media, it’s only a matter of time until the global popularity spreads to the UK.
