England rugby International Sarah Beckett returned to her Merseyside roots ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup to for a coaching session young players dreaming of following in her footsteps.
Going back to Firwood Waterloo RFC was a celebration of grassroots rugby, and the community role of clubs like this one in Liverpool, in the hope of encouraging girls’ talents, resilience, and confidence, and inspiring local role models.
