The scheduled FA Vase third round fixture between South Liverpool and Albion Sports at Jericho Sports Hub has been postponed due to weather conditions brought about by Storm Darragh.
The news came as no shock after the postponement of the Merseyside Derby earlier in the day. The postponement of South Liverpool’s game was announced at around 1pm, just two hours before the scheduled kick-off.
The high winds and safety issues posed by Storm Darragh have been the reason for multiple event cancellations across the Merseyside region today. Winds up to 90 mph have caused chaos throughout the country and continue to put events in danger of cancellation or postponement.
South Liverpool say details of the rescheduled fixture will be announced in due course.
