Football is a major part of Liverpool’s heritage of but there is a growing problem. The demand for 5-aside and full size pitches is increasing and there is not not enough space to stage matches.
As if the wet weather has not been enough of challenge, with waterlogged pitches, games in the Bootle Junior Football League and Hightown Junior Football League have even been called off because of vandalism.
