Natasha Jonas has said that she will “enjoy the experience and take it all in” as she steps into the ring this weekend for what could her last fight in Liverpool.
Jonas faces Ivana Habazin the Exhibition centre where she will defend her IBF welterweight title while hoping to claim the Croatian’s WBC belt. At 40 this could be Jonas’ final fight in her home city.
Meanwhile Welsh welter Lauren Price is also on the card facing Bexcy Mateus for the WBA and IBF titles.
Should both Jonas and Price win it would set up a domestic clash to unify the welterweight division, a prospect Boxxer CEO Ben Shalom is keen to see become a reality.
However Jonas told Mersey Sport Live there were other fights she’d rather make as her career winds down.
