Mick “The Huyton Hammer” Stanton takes on home favourite Miloš “Meloun” Petrášek this Saturday to try and claim the OKTAGON MMA Tipsport Gamechanger middle-weight title.
Stanton, a two-time Cage Warrior and FCC champion, is looking to start a winning streak having beaten Kamil Wojciechowski with a technical KO at the OKTAGON last April.
Stanton, who trains at Atherton Submission Wrestling, says that the £1 million prize money will change his life.
“I can give my wife and kids what I’ve always promised them. I promised my wife a long time ago that we’d get our dream house we always wanted.”
He boasts an impressive four wins in his last five fights, with only one defeat against Dario Bellandi back in November 2023.
Speaking to Stanton, he says that he is feeling better than ever.

“Everything has gone exactly as planned. My training camp was fantastic – every session was dialled in and I have never felt sharper, both physically and mentally.”
“The hard work is done, and I’m stepping into this fight feeling better than ever, in peak condition, and ready to put in a dominant performance.”
“Each fight is a statement, and I intend to make it loud and clear – I’m here to win this whole thing.”
His opponenet, Miloš “Meloun” Petrášek, goes into the fixture with two wins and three losses in his last five fights and will need a career best performance if he is to defeat the Huyton local.
The main card event sees six-time OKTAGON welterweight champion David Komza go against “Prince of Bratislava” Robert Pukač.
Mick Stanton and Miloš Petrášek kick off at 19:00 UTC and can be streamed on DAZN GB.
