Liverpool manager Arne Slot said his team has to give their best performance tomorrow night against PSG to win.

Slot also praised Luis Enrique’s side on their performance last week and said that he wasn’t surprised at all by the result.

“I was very impressed as they are such a complete and well-managed team, and I think we experienced it this past Wednesday.

“I think they played tremendously well and I don’t think we faced a team this season that combined that much quality with that much intensity.”

The Red’s manager also reflected on his team’s performance after the 1-0 win last Wednesday.

The result was ours but the performance was for them.

We know we can do better than last week, but I don’t agree with people that said that we had a poor performance.

“We are a better team than we were last week and that’s something we have to prove tomorrow with the help of our fans,” said Slot.

Liverpool star Diogo Jota has had a difficult season and said he wants to take “one game at a time”.

The midfielder said: “It’s a big game and we want to go through and obviously on the weekend to win the big trophy but one at a time.

“Tomorrow, here with our fans we want to show a different face and the game will be different for sure, but in the end we just want to go through.”

Liverpool have a busy week ahead as they compete against PSG tomorrow night for a place in the quarter-finals and in the Carabao Cup final Sunday night against Newcastle.

Cody Gakpo returned to training today and will be in the squad tomorrow night.

Kick off is 8pm at Anfield.
