The Everton Manager spoke ahead of the clash against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
Everton are looking for their 9th game unbeaten in the league, as Moyes faces his former team.
He enjoyed a fruitful spell in his second stint as West Ham Manager, winning the 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League.
With a win against the Hammers, the Toffees could go up to 13th in the Premier League table which will inch them further to safety.
In response to winning the Premier League Manager of the month award, Moyes said:
“It’s the sort of thing what you certainly pass onto the players and the rest of the staff who’ve done a great job especially when you consider where they were a month or so ago.”
Since last time out it was also announced that Angus Kinnear would become Everton’s new CEO in the summer.
Meanwhile, Director of Football Kevin Thelwell will be leaving his position when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Moyes commented on these changes:
“Unfortunately, Kevin will be leaving his job, he’s done a great job over many years, and I have to say through some really difficult periods at the club.”
“So, lots of admiration for the work he’s done.”
“I’ve had one short conversation with Angus, that was all, because he has his job to do at Leeds and I don’t want to disrupt him.”
Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad was announced this morning, and there may have been some confusion by Evertonians on why Jarrad Branthwaite was not included given his recent form for the Blues.
Moyes did not specifically comment on the decision to leave Branthwaite out but said “if you’re looking at the last six or seven weeks, Jarrad Branthwaite would be up there playing as well as any other English Centre Half.”
As for team news, Armando Broja is back in training and in contention to be on the bench for the game against West Ham.
Iliman Ndiaye, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dwight McNeil still remain out, but are getting closer to returning ahead of the international break.
Everton play West Ham United at Goodison Park at 3pm on Saturday 15th March.
