Euro 2021 is ‘very likely’ to be played in England this summer, according to sports journalist Tancredi Palmeri.
The beIN Sports Correspondent has claimed on Twitter that UEFA are opting for one country to host the tournament, rather than multiple countries, which was the original plan.
They supposedly believe England is in the best position to do so at the current time.
Although an official decision is still to be made, it is expected to be taken in mid-April.

The last time England hosted a major tournament was Euro 1996, which ended up being a historic event with England losing out in the semi-finals losing to eventual winners Germany.
It would certainly be an event that would capture the nation’s heart and interest, especially as the country is seemingly moving out of the COVID pandemic thanks to its rollout of the vaccine programme by the government.
Large-scale stadiums in England, Wales and Scotland are more than equipped to cope with the demands of hosting an international tournament.
Grand stadiums within Great Britain include the likes of Wembley, Hampden Park, the Principality Stadium, the Olympic Stadium and Old Trafford to name a few.
With stadiums and state-of-the-art club training facilities all over the country as well as good travel infrastructure, it could be a concept that comes to fruition this summer.
