Omar Iqbal was a committed Liverpool fan who sadly took his own life this summer.
He will be remembered by his family with the support of Liverpool Football Club and Reds podcast the Anfield Wrap as they fly a flag ahead of the 12:30 pm kick off of the 243rd Merseyside derby.
Iqbal would have been 22 this week. His family described him as having “an infectious optimism and enthusiasm for life.”
Omar’s father, Rashid, took to social media to raise awareness of mental health that can often be overlooked.
The Iqbal’s have also been supporting James’ Place who offer offer free treatment for men that are in crisis. The family will be using the honor service as an opportunity to advertise their fantastic charity work.

Omar would have turned 22 this week. But he felt he could no longer go on. He tragically took his own life this summer, having given so much life to others.
