Morgan had been the Assistant Manager for the last nine months under previous Manager Mike McGraa.
He has had a hugely successful career. As a player, he featured as an unused substitute for Tranmere Rovers in the 2000 League Cup Final. As a manager, he led Llandudno to the 2016/17 Europa League first qualifying stage. He told North Wales Live that it was “beyond his wildest dreams”. He also managed Aberystwyth Town and Colwyn Bay.
Alongside being the new manager for Bootle FC, he will be continuing his duties as Player Development Manager for Tranmere Rovers.
Bootle sit 16th in the Northern Premier League Division One West on 45 points.
