Another winner yesterday for Owen in the form of I’m too Generous at Musselburgh, at a fantastic price of 10/1. Today, I’m back tipping winners after a great weekend of Racing.
Today’s big card of action comes from Ireland with seven races at Punchestown. The feature is set to be an interesting Novice chase with a faniced horse mentioned below.
Cards in the UK include Wolverhampton on the flat later this afternoon, getting underway at 15:50, and Jumps racing from Southwell and Sedgefield.
The 13:30 at Southwell sees Heavenly Promised go for a four-timer for Trainer Fergal O’Brien and jockey Conner Brace an even money shot.
Sedgefield has a few interesting looking handicaps with the feature being the Northern Lights staying chase series qualifier at 13:50.
My selections for today are:
NAP – Whisperinthebreeze, 14:40 @ Punchestown
Man of the moment Robbie Power resumes his duties riding for Jessie Harrington in Ireland on an interesting looking horse. Has won handicap chases before beating the likes of LiveLoveLaugh, who was fancied in this year’s Grand National and Cadmium who beat 26 other horses to win the Topham chase also at the grand national festival. Form looks rock solid, should go well in this rated novice chase.
NB – Battleofthesomme, 13:00 @ Southwell
An impressive winner at Uttoxeter last time out, on a hat-trick bid here. Was a short priced favourite last time and likewise again this time. Has won at Southwell before over a shorter trip but the set up should be no problem for one of Jamie Snowden’s best horses.
EW – Cash Me Outside, 14:10 @ Punchestown
This looks a solid each way stab at a large handicap field. Carrying 11st 4lb with a 5lb claim for Jockey Sean O’Keeffe could give this one every chance, has good form already winning this season at Wexford. Trainer Paul Nolan looking for some retribution after stable star Discorama’s poor run at the weekend.
