With Liverpool set to play Manchester United this weekend, the reds will look to continue with their unbeaten run and get three points over their bitter rivals.
United faced another injury scare last night with in form winger Daniel James being knocked out in Wales international fixture against Croatia.
James was knocked to the ground after an aerial battle with Domagoj Vida, he hit the deck immediately and was motionless as he laid on the ground. As fans of the Manchester club winced thinking, their injury club had made a new signing James was deemed fit and carried on playing.
After a full concussion assessment at half time, he carried on the rest of the game. Perhaps a lucky escape for the Manchester club who already have Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Paul Pogba and Phil Jones not fully fit and potentially out for this Sundays clash.
Liverpool’s biggest contenders for the league title Manchester city are also not without injury concerns for their Saturday afternoon fixture against Crystal Palace, with star striker Sergio Aguero not featuring in Argentina’s international fixtures.
Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni released the news saying, “Sergio Aguero is not here because he’s been carrying a problem and has not been training 100 per cent with his club, Surely both will be here next month.”
Aguero once again hit the ground running this season with eight goals in eight games and has been a shining light in City’s already impressive squad.
The injury is unspecified however; it seems the Argentine striker will not be missing too much football and if not playing this weekend against bogey team Crystal Palace he will feature in their champion’s league fixture against Atalanta.
Liverpool goalkeeper Allison has been undertaking extra training sessions in a bid to be fit for this weekend’s match against Manchester United despite being given a week off. The Brazil number one has been side lined since the opening game of the season against Norwich where he suffered an injury to his calf.

His return would be a massive boost for a Liverpool squad who are already flying high in the league, however, is unlikely, as Jurgen Klopp will not risk playing him until he is 100 percent fit. This is mainly due to the superb job stand-in keeper Adrian has done during his absence.
Along with Allison, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Adam Lallana have also been doing extra sessions to up their fitness levels before the Premier League clash.
