Monday October 14th Race Meetings and Tips:

With a meeting at Windsor being abandoned this morning, four race meeting still take place across Britain and Ireland today, all on flat courses.

Starting at 13:20, Musselburgh has a seven-race card with the feature race being the Class 2 Racing TV Handicap over seven furlongs at 15:25.

Fifteen minutes later the only Irish meeting gets under way at Gowran Park with the main race being the final one on the card at 17:20 held over a mile and three quarters.

Great Yarmouth have another seven-race card beginning at 14:10. Two Class 4 races dominate the day with Godolphin’s Donnybrook an intriguing runner from a Haydock Sprint Cup winner, this is in the 2:45.

The evening meeting is held on the all-weather track in Wolverhampton. Another class 4 contest at 6:55 is the biggest on the card, over the extended mile.

My tips for the day are below.

NAP: Purgatory- 16:55 Yarmouth. Course and Distance winner three starts ago, and an all-weather victory last time out at Kempton Park. Down 1lb since then and good Andrea Atzeni booking looks positive.

NB: Militia- 14:55 Musselburgh. 7/1 winner last time out in a big field handicap at Ayr. Ground is a concern today but still a big player over the same trip.

Each-Way: Cobb and Co- 15:10 Gowran Park. A disappointing short price favourite runs again today in The King of Kells. A 50/1 third at The Curragh in September on heavy ground is a bonus for this horse today.
