Neal Skupski and Jamie Murray lost their round-of-16 in two tight sets at the Swiss Indoors tournament.
The all-British duo lost 7-6 7-5 to fourth seeds of the tournament, Jean-Julien Rojer/ Horia Tecau. It was a tight match throughout that could have gone either way, but their opponents were more consistent on serve. This eventually gave them the victory in the end.
The Merseyside player had won the title in Vienna, alongside his brother, Ken Skupski last year. He was defending 500 ranking points, which he will lose some when the rankings are updated on Monday.
Skupski and Murray are still looking to win their first title together, after several runs to the semi-finals, especially at the US Open and during the Asian swing.
Skupski and Murray will now travel to Paris, to compete in the last ATP Masters 1000 of the season. The tournament starts next Monday, October 28th. After that, both will prepare for the Davis Cup Final, which is in about three weeks.
