Another NAP landed by Paul yesterday thanks to Adam Wedge on board Esprit Du Large, means that we are finding winners more often than not.
Today’s racing begins at 12:30 in the North of England at Sedgefield. Here, La Cavsa Nostra will be looking to overcome last week’s fall at Warwick in the Class 3 feature race there at 14:10.
We cross the Irish Sea, to the south of Ireland, for a fantastic card there, beginning at 12:40. A Grade 2, middle-distance chase tops the bill at 14:50, where my Each-Way shout runs.
Next off is the meeting at the Somerset town of Taunton. Racing begins at 12:55 and it is that race where my NAP lies. In addition, to note, an interesting Olly Murphy runner in Brewinupastorm, running in the 14:35, has chosen to go for this race rather than a Cheltenham run this weekend.
With no evening meetings again today, the last to tee off is the 13:15 start at Ludlow. A good Class 2 is the most prominent race on the card, where Bryony Frost will be looking to win on board Enrilo, for Paul Nicholls. My NB is a runner on this card too.
Here are my tips for today:
NAP: Sleep Easy – 12:55 Taunton
Has never been competitive in Listed Company, and not in best form at Class 3 either, but a trip down two grades surely leaves him a great chance in a selling race. Tom Scudamore takes up the reins for Neil Mulholland.
NB: Lord Getaway – 14:55 Ludlow
A winner at Uttoxeter last year and third in the Durham National is a good indicator here. Back down in trip and class puts him in good stead.
EW: Jett – 14:50 Clonmel
Racing against brilliant chasers such as Monalee and Douvan, Jett was a Grade 3 winner last time out as the rank outsider of six. It is likely that this will be the case again here, can he come up trumps once more.
