Liverpool fighter Paddy Pimblett will face late-notice replacement Joe Giannetti next Friday at Cage Warriors 111.

Pimblett was initially supposed to fight Donovan Desmae, but the Belgian was forced to withdraw due to injury.

In his place with just eight days left will be Joe Giannetti, who previously had a short stint in the UFC.

After winning twice in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Season 27, the American was let go by the sport’s biggest company after losing a split decision to Mike Trizano at the Finale.

He has since bounced back to win twice in Cage Titans and will pose a tough ask of ‘The Baddy’ considering the short notice and his absence from the sport.

The Next Generation MMA fighter addressed the fight on social media, thanking Giannetti for accepting, but saying the result will be the same with a finish the intended outcome.

CW111 takes place at the O2’s London Indigo next Friday night on November 22nd, with Paddy Pimblett on the main card.
