Today’s Women’s derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park has been postponed.
Due to adverse weather conditions, caused by Storm Ciara, much of the UK has had to face high winds and fierce rain throughout the night, which has caused travel disruptions in and around Merseyside.
Everton did release a statement on their website confirming that after liaising with Merseyside Police, the FA WSL’s match manager, match officials and safety experts, the welfare of both sets of supporters was their main priority.
A new date is expected to be announced in the coming days.
